Greg, the Dog, a look back: Glorious Hope (Part 2)

This is a continuation of the last episode; if you haven't read it, do so now.
This is also the last one I wrote, and therefore the last look back (though I might make a post or two more on the subject of Greg). Sad, I know. I started this with the thought I might pick back up, but…

Greg, the Dog, a look back: Glorious Hope (Part 1)

In case you can't tell, I was late a lot. You have to keep in mind, I was 12-13 when these were made. Heck, I'm 15 now and I'm still late on posts. But as has been said: Nobody will care whether you have a schedule or not if nobody cares about your posts in the first place.…

Greg, the Dog, a look back: Aw nuts!

Been a while since the last one but, oh well.

Aw, nuts!

Sorry for being so utterly late, but as usual, I have a reasonable reason:

I was lying around, thinking about what delightful things might happen to me that day (sarcasm intended), when Jim walked up. He  seemed very angry and shouted about missing nuts and me…

Churbles, Grammatical Bomb: Vowels.

Hey there, you peoples. It's been a while. Why? I don't know... Onto the subject matter!

Now, before I get too deep in my complaints: I do not mind rules like letter combinations, or silent E (much), it's just that I want a language in which you pronounce things right the first time.

Now, my complaint this time around is how vowels are each other too often. In Phonics part 2, I mentioned double O (blood and coop, both having different letters that make…

Greg, the Dog, a look back: Hunger Pangs and Cheese...

Now, the thing I almost told you about, the reason I had to get these out before December... yeah, not happening. Or, at least, the deadline will not be met, and will be moved into May. Why May? Same reason it was going to be December. Moving on...

Fun coincidence, both of these are about food, they keep correlating, it's nice. This one underwent a little change here, you can read the original at…

Greg, the dog, a look back: Freedom at last! & Fake freedom.

I feel like I really need to tell you people what's coming, but it may or may not happen. I might just get your hopes up. So don't get your hopes up about my telling you either.

Here's the thing.

Freedom at last!

Just yesterday, I was given a new, high-tech collar, everybody seems to like it, but…

Greg, the dog, a look back: Churbles Unleashed and Torture.

Continuing my need to have all the Gregs out before December, here's two more without their Churbles, Grammatical Bomb.

Churbles Unleashed

Ugh, sorry for being late, I was… tied up. Okay here’s the story.

I was sitting around, as I spend most of my days, enjoying the smell (but not the taste) of barbequed meat. My…

Greg, the dog, a look back: An attempt at friendship, and Knock-knock.

Now, I have an actual subject besides the posts, so it's going to be a moment. I usually launch these posts out with Churbles, Grammatical Bomb, but a special event is coming up, and I need to post lots of these and I can't come up with many more grammatical things to rant about (I've used all the ones I can think of, now). So, just know there'll be more of these and less of others.

To the post, or posts, as…

Greg, the dog, a look back: Yes, I did that.

Just one this week, due to how the next two are super related, as well as the two after that.
Yes, I did that.

I was sitting around, bored (as usual), when I noticed this thing right behind me! I ran and ran all around everywhere my chain would let me, but he was still…

Churbles, Grammatical Bomb: Aspirations.

I can talk and talk about how people in my generation (or further), but one thing I can assure you of is this: I'm not perfect. Nobody is perfect,  and I most certainly am not the closest thing, in fact, I'm pretty sure in this series alone I've made enough mistakes to prove that. So, this is a post about aspirations, for myself, for the world.

There's the main reason this series was made, well, 2 reasons: 1. To show my generation the error of their ways. And, 2. To…

Comments and notes for my post on accents.

Recently, I talked about accents, there's nothing wrong with them unless you say your accent is the correct way to speak, like that children's book that talked about the silent L in talk and walk.

I had an experience that showed me more on what I think.

I live with a southern accent in my mom. I'm really southern, but without an accent. But North Carolina (where I live, a decently southern state) has a mistaken accent, it's fine, I don't mind it, but the part I despise…

The mystery of Churbles: What Churbles is to me.

So, given the subject matter of "I think it's about time" and of this post I've gone back and renamed them all "The mystery of Churbles", designed to not follow the back and forth nature of the two other series and tell you about Churbles, as time passes I might make more and more series, be on the look out- don't be.

Back to the subject matter: Churbles is a weird thing really, He is me, I am it, it is a sphere, I'm not. It would take hours upon hours of thinking to think of…

Greg, the dog, a look back: Unexpectable and Delayed... again

Now, this post is going to have two Gregs because of their similarity and the shortness of the first. First:

Unexpectable

First, I want to apologize for not updating my blog yesterday. Something… Came up. I don’t think any of us expected I’d be…  fixed. Apparently my owners couldn’t bear the thought of having more of me. I…

Churbles, Grammatical Bomb: Accents-ish

Hola, let's do this again, as I wish I could on a schedule. Accents, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with having one AT ALL- unless I can't understand you, or your not using grammar, then I hate you... not- but this is about when you take it to a new level, such as spelling sentences in such a way to give an accurate, albeit irksome, way to convey a speech pattern, or even- ...well, I'll get to that later.

I'm talking about people…

The mystery of Churbles: Churbles' many names.

The last post talked about how Churbles came to be, but this one's about what he has been since: his many names.

Let's go chronologically.

Churbles, just Churbles, the original.

Churbles, Destroyer of Worlds, the original title…

The mystery of Churbles: Churbles.

Might turn into a series, but this is story of how Churbles came to be.

It all started years ago, my dad had (and still has) a keyboard, the old thing has a bunch of good sounds, some okay sounds, plenty of bad sounds and, best of all, some really cheesy sounds. I thought not much of it when I saw it, but there's a sound called "Churbles" on it, it's one of the really cheesy ones.

A while later, back when I was writing Greg, the Dog, (as some of you might know) there…

Greg, the dog, a look back: The trouble with Churbles.

Now, this isn't me Churbles, this is his namesake, the cat, but that's for another post. Before we begin I'll say that the title is a Star Trek reference, there was an episode called The trouble with Tribbles.
The Trouble with Churbles

Churbles, Grammatical Bomb: Phonics Part 2.

Time for the fifth installment in the series nobody reads about my generation's grammar, and part two of the ongoing series about how English itself is stupid. Previously I talked about Ph and Gh, Gh twice, I before E and the -ctly that's found in many words. Now for new material.

Let's start with two things about the letter W. 1, one. Yes, one. Notice the lack of a W, and how it's sound remains. Why this isn't pronounced like "own" I cannot…
