Well, if anyone found my first blog to be either entaining or just agreed with what I had to say, then you may have wanted to know what I had to say next. Well to be honest, what's bugging me right now is a real biggy, so if you think you can handle it, hold on to your hats, cos I feel this one is going to be a monster.
Today I heard that all to familiar phrase that really makes you feel like the worlds biggest idiot, and those words being "Don't like you in that way, only as a…

Nahum
1:8 But with an overflowing flood
He will make a complete end of the adversaries,
and will pursue His enemies
into darkness.
"Overflowing flood" reminded me of the flood in Genesis. A global flood destroyed all mankind and animal life besides what was on Noah's ark. Also, Nahum 2:6-8 give evidence that Nineveh was to be destroyed…

1:7 The LORD is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
He knows those who take refuge in Him.
It's interesting to note that immediately after mentioning YHWH's wrath and anger, Nahum tells us YHWH is good. Wouldn't it seem that an angry wrathful God would be bad?
The question is often asked, "How can there be a good God if…

1:6 Who can stand before His indignation?
Who can endure the heat of His anger?
His wrath is poured out like fire,
and the rocks are broken into pieces by Him.
YHWH's wrath and anger are so great that not a soul can endure them. Christ did!
Fire is often used as a way of YHWH's presence manifesting...burning bush, pillar…

I've been posting vlog videos since this Summer because it seemed like a fun thing to do and would give our family the opportunity to see our kids when we don't live near them.
When I sat down in front of my camera to record my first vlog, I had the jitters. I was so nervous and had a difficult time getting any words out. After editing the vlog, I uploaded it and anxiously waited for my first view. I was so nervous as to what people would say or if anyone would even watch…

Well, I've never done a blog before, so I'll probably just do this wrong, but I think (correct me if this is wrong) that I can rant and talk about what's annoying at this present time.
And to be quite honest, what annoys me the most right now is 21st century minimalist composers, and more just the music itself. To begin with, it's not music, it's just noise. All care for harmony and a melody that was bearable to listen to have been forgotten.
Secondly, it really annoys me that…

I remember when I was a kid and my favourite doll went missing. I dug through the box and searched as thoroughly as I could. My sister had found hers. It was blond like her and there was no way we could get our mixed up as my doll was a brunette. We had to leave to go on a trip and I wanted to bring my doll with me. Sadly, I never found her in time - in fact, I never found her at all. I felt terrible. She was my favourite toy and I mourned the loss of it every time I say my sister play with her…

Nahum
1:5 The mountains quake before Him;
the hills melt;
the earth heaves before Him,
the world and all who dwell in it.
An overwhelming tone of the chapter so far has been YHWH's sovereignty and power over what He created. All creation from the trees to the storms is in submission to its Creator. How humbling…

I must admit I'm not much of a blogger.
But since you're here, read.
I just realized the day I decided to do Supernote was the day after the deadline. Bleh. Oh well.
I like writing. I'm writing something now, but it is not incredibly good. Maybe I'll write a new one. Any requests on the genre? I am not a picky beast.
Wow.…

My whipped ice dairy drink brings the attention of males to my place of residence and/or employment, and it far surpasses that of yours. Absolutely, it surpasses yours. I can convey you to this recipe, but I have to demand compensation.
If you get this, I love you.

1:4 "He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
He dries up all the rivers;
Bashan and Carmel wither,
the bloom of Lebanon withers.
Immediately after reading the first statement of this verse, my mind went to Mark 4:39. The disciples woke Jesus during a storm while they were in a boat. Jesus woke…

Happy Reformation Day!!
October 31, 1517 was the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenburg. Thus began the Protestant Reformation! So, if you are a Christian of a denomination other than Roman Catholic, you can thank Luther for making that possible. I…

1:3 "The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His was is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet."
Verse two tells us that YHWH is avenging and wrathful, but verse 3 says He is also slow to anger. YHWH is "great in power," thus able to…

Dear Rhett and Link,
Y'all are amazing. But you know what would make y'all even more awesomer? If you could post the guitar chords for your songs! That'd be even more epic than a mythical beast from Maine eating fried chicken and waffles!!!
Thanks,

1:2 "The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and wrathful; the LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries and keeps wrath for His enemies."
Aside from two introductory sentences in verse one, this book/Nahum's message opens by speaking of Yahweh's characteristics. Yahweh is jealous, avenging, wrathful, He takes… Continue

There seems to be two separate intros here in the first verse, yet it seems a little redundant. The words oracle and vision are used, however, which make each… Continue
