General belief/ disbelief discussion

so lets continue the discussion here. ill kinda start it off even though its already going on the board. so i generally dont believe because there is no testable evidence to suggest that there is a god. there are more specific reasons i have but i may get to those later.

I see this has been up and unanswered for some time. The trouble with groups such as these is that everyone agrees on the topic of Atheism. Not everyone agrees on Agnosticism, but those that don't tend to avoid the confrontation.

As such, while this is a group about both Atheism and Agnosticism, and general disbelief, the majority of the topics should only hint at that. Otherwise, what is there to talk about?

More on topic, though, you make the claim that there is no testable evidence for a god. I agree, but I'd go farther than that. I have yet to be shown any evidence for any god, testable or otherwise. Anything presented as evidence was merely brought up without any idea about what evidence is. A quote from a holy book here, a crack about genetic "code" there, nothing that actually did anything to further their argument.

Just once I'd like to hear a real argument for deities. =\

I refer to myself as an Agnostic Atheist. I have no belief in any deities, but also don't rule them out.
