Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!
Hey everybody!
I've been away from the Komm for too long, and it's great to be back! I'm excited to share what's going on in my life, and am excited to get connected with all of you in the Komm again.
I now live in Atlanta, GA, and am working in film and television there. The big project (that I can tell you about) is Electric Nostalgia, a si-fi thriller by writer/director Jacob Leighton Burns. For those of you who have been following me for a while know that…

Hello Beasts!
To everyone who reads these, thank you. I know that you don't have to take the time out of your day to read about the day-to-day life of an actor who is relatively new to the industry.
First off - Trail Dance Film Festival
(Pictured from left to right: Jacob Burns, Zach Burns, Nichole…

Hi Beasts!
I know that I've been off and on on the Komm lately, but that's not because I don't love you, it's because life has been very busy for me!
So, the first thing I want to talk about is the Trail Dance Film Festival.
The film Broken Boy, starring yours truly, is an official selection in the Trail Dance Film Festival in Duncan, OK (January 26-27). If any Mythical Beasts want to make the drive out to Duncan, I'll be there, and we…

Hey Beasts,
Most of you know that I'm an actor. What you don't know is that I just created a website for myself.
So... could you do me a big mythical favor by checking it out, then coming back on here and giving me feedback?
Here's the link: http://alandavidso2.wix.com/jalandavidson#!home/mainPage
Thanks Beasts!

The Rhett and Link song Hoover Dam first appeared on the album Secret Songs (which does not appear on R&L’s iTunes discography, but the song Hoover Dam appears on the Up to this Point album). There were more popular songs on the album, such as the Crayon Colors Song, but none (save one, which will be discussed…

Today I choose Life
In a house full of death.
Today I choose Joy
In a house full of sorrow.
Today I choose Comfort
In a house full of pain.
And tomorrow I must do the same.

This was written for an acting class earlier this year.
My name is Jonathan Merket. I was born on December 16th, 1988 in Sabula, Iowa. In case you didn’t know, Sabula is a tiny town on an island right in the middle of Sabula Lake. I don’t know which name came first, the town or the lake, but it never really mattered to me anyways.
Growing up in a poor community has its ups and downs. For a long time, you’ve…

My hardy hand shakes.
My lucky leg drags.
My funny face hangs.
I know now what it takes,
And I've packed all my bags,
And left all my gangs
Headed for New York.
With a dollar in my pocket
I set out on a rocket
To explore the stars.
With Reverse the Zombie Dog
I sail through the fog
Created by all of the cars.
My middle mind is foggy.
My dueling disks are…

Lemmings, lemons, and lemurs
Eat lemon squares in the square
While I try to crack the code.
It's ironic that I leave you a code
To say that I love you
While I rhythm to your riddle.
Breaking skulls and femurs
While dancing with a bear
That's a bad bode.
And the bear rode
In a giant tu-tu two too
Far from the middle
And now I'm stuck here
With a back slipping…

“He is a general, not a king!” The councilor’s declaration resounded in the chamber as he stood before his peers. He was aging, almost a relic of a bygone era. The frailty of his body did not match the absoluteness of his voice that decried the ability of the one about to be crowned. “We are at peace, and this man who lusts for war will bring us nothing but chaos.” He continued as he pointed at the rugged face of Hinshaw, “Look at this man! He is not nobility! He sleeps in the sand with…

The forest was heavy with the coming rain, all seemed eager to receive it. The horses were almost silent, their hooves masked by the moss covering the forest floor. Just off the path there sat a cloaked figure in a tree covered in green lichen, hanging down like a moth-eaten curtain. The green cloak that hung around the young man in the tree rendered him invisible to all, his knife hidden just beneath the folds of the cloak, ready to strike. He steadied his breathing, calming himself…

The sound of bare feet pattering down the corridor echoed as she ran; hair and tassels flowing behind her. Grey stone arches seemed to fly by as her feet swept her onwards past stained glass murals that told the stories of heroes long since passed. She flew past battlements that had not seen a sentry in ages, ballista towers that had no flames ready to ignite tar-covered stones on invaders. The castle itself seemed to sleep, like an old man unconcerned. The girl’s white dress…

Hello Komm,
I've been getting asked what a "KBE" is for a while now, but I couldn't remember - despite being one of the "old guys" on here. Well, I reached back into the dark cobwebs of my memory and figured out that it stands for "Kommunity Building Exercise". It's something that we should do as a Kommunity, with the goal of bringing us together.
There is a KBE posted by Link, and it's at the top of the page when you log in.
FYI, I'll be on set…

The Outsiders, Twister, Rumble Fish, The Grapes of Wrath… You’ve probably heard of all of these films, and know that they were shot, at least in part, in Oklahoma. But what you probably don’t know is that the film industry in Oklahoma is growing at a rapid pace, bringing jobs and money to our state, largely thanks to the $5 million tax rebate program that our state has. That rebate program has recently come under…

You only know what I want you to.
I want you to know what I don't want you to.
Will I lose you
When I loose you?
You float away
Like a balloon.
Let me tie a note to the string
Before you fly.
Someday you'll find it
When you come from the sky.
You only know what I want you to.
I want you…

I am not really a gamer.
I am a game watcher. Yes, I have played through several games, and actively play an MMO, but I do not find that I fit under the gamer tag. This is because I enjoy watching other people play. The…

I was shot down by you, rejected. I fell through the clouds, neglected. With no parachute to save me, no hand reached from the sky. So I fell and I fell, and I fell, and then I presume I died.
I awoke atop amorphous gumdrops that formed a non-saline sea, syncronized my watch and then was beaten to death by other dead people for being a twat.
When I awoke the second time in the second afterlife I found myself…
