I tried to combine elements that people suggested in this thread, and just wanted to point them out:

Rhett's beard
Link's glasses
Pronounced eyebrows
Link's recorder
Velcro shoes
Wal-Mart Vest
and perhaps the most subtle, for the right-hand gesture I tried to mirror the Paul Bunyan statue's gesture in the World's Largest Song

The end.

edit: Oh yeah, and I chroma'd the skin to match the website colors.

Here's my try, I don't quite like the eye marking though. May fix that.

If anyone wants to color it a certain way I included the original sketch for people to use.

Anyways, this is one of them.

I liked what Parker the Invisible Eagle said about the color-changing-stuff, and I totally agree with Caleb Small, it must have antlers, yes.

I am working on my third sketch. I havent even had time to look at the other entries yet. So far it sings, it fishes and it flies. It is still a work in progress for me...
