Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

I know I have a few.....

People who spell my last name wrong - It's Starr not Star

Excessive Chatspeak - When people abbreviate everything....my brain starts to hurt after reading it.

Bratty out of control children - Bit and bridle I say! I know a few who need it....

People who do not know how to walk in Malls, Theme Parks, etc. - Everybody is going in opposite directions, they look like a bunch of panicked chickens!

You?

Pet peeves? When someone borrows my good pen, and returns it virtually dry. It drives me crazy. And when someone is wearing a watch, but asks you for the time. Especially when I don't have a watch on.
Mixing up nominative and objective pronouns! Bah! (Using "I" in place of "me", "him" instead of "he", "her" instead of "she", etc.)

Also people calling me Tessa (Tess is my entire first name. Not short for anything) and spelling my last name with an E instead of an A.
My biggest pet peeve has to be when people block the grocery store isle while having a conversation and are oblivious to others that need to pass by.
OH! I'm a grammar nerd, so my biggest pet peeve is when people abuse apostrophes!! "I ate two taco's today. Tomorrow I"m going to have to have steak's." Seriously? Didn't everyone have the same basic 3rd grade English class?
My sister does that, it gets really annoying because I'm always saying "Channing that doesn't have an apostrophe" it really gets on my nerves.

My pet peeve is the misuse of the word "literally". It means something that is word-for-word true, it is not a word to be peppered into a sentence to make you sound smarter. I once heard someone say, "It's literally raining cats and dogs!" and I wanted to respond, "Really?!? Really, there are small animals falling from the sky?"

That's the English major in me coming out...
When people spell my first name with a "K" instead of a "C" and when people use wrong grammer.
