Who is Gompers? -- Cartoon Conspiracy Theory #2

Hello and a Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans!  Because of this Holiday weekend, I've decided To do something a Little different. Instead of debunking a Theory I would like To ask you all a Question: 

Who is Gompers?

I am a huge fan Of the show Gravity Falls on DisneyXD. Its art and Animation is Absolutely flawless and The plot is Very intricate, keeping the Viewer involved and Provoking them to ask Questions, such as this One.  In other words, If you haven't seen The show you should Go watch it.

For those of you That have seen Gravity Falls you may Recall that in one episode Bill Cipher says that He likes Gompers (the goat) "Better this way". I've been Thinking a lot About this recently Since i started research On other Theories for this Blog and it Makes me wonder.... Who was Gompers?
