I was just telling Tara (Twinchilla... her unofficial name) about Rhett & Link burying a time capsule and digging it back up the next day and it made me think of the boys I was friends with when I was little. At the end of July, I told my parents that I wanted - nay, NEEDED - the Mythical Shoe. I have holes in my green chucks and my black patchy chucks (I have three pairs of chucks...for now), so I said they'd be a fine replacement and I really really wanted them please please please! I have had my maroon John Lennon, wire-framed eyeglasses since I was fifteen years old. The prescription had never been updated. I switched to contacts my sophomore year of college (so 4 years later...) but I kept them as backup.



Well, they've stopped being corrective lenses and have since become a fashion statement. Only, a fashion statement accompanied by headaches. :( So I guess it's really time to say goodbye to them...
