How are you doing? It's almost impossible to actually chat online (I have no idea of the time difference between here and Australia.
I hope you and your family are doing well.
My youngest daughter is off to join the military. ( I'm both happy and proud (since it is a family tradition). She's plans to get married too. It's a lot for one so young (marriage a family tradition too). She brings me great joy and worry all at the same time. Parenthood is not for the faint of heart. I posted a poem about it on the Rhett and Link group Poetry Corner read it if you like. : )
Ingredients
3 cups of any brand old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup dried craisins ( I luv Craisins)
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
3/4 cup unsalted butter,
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup (105 grams) all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In the bowl beat the butter and sugar until creamy and smooth then add egg & vanilla extract (beat again)
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
Combine the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and beat until well mixed. Stir in the oats, and dried cranberries and chocolate chips. (Yummy) feel free to sample cookie dough.
Bake the cookies for about 12 - 15 minutes or until light golden brown around the edges but still soft in the centers. Remove from oven and let the cookies cool
Makes about 20 or 24
My youngest daughter is 18 and I tell you ..... I remember when she was 12. Being the youngest of three she is my little chatterbird. Although I can't say she's so little anymore. She towers over me. L.O.L all my kids do. They love to say we love our little Mom. While I grumble five feet is tall. my son is about a foot over me. : )
