Another confession: I live in Santa Barbara California. Come visit. We are not rich, or famous or glamorous or even very tan. But we are friendly, and there is room to pitch a tent in the backyard, or a very comfy couch to crash on. Then you can go off on your own and look around for famous people. We tend to not see any. But we know great places to eat, and which beaches to walk on that deposits the least tar on your feet.

I think Rhett and Link need to show this to travel channel and see if they would be interested in making a series similar to the Great American Road trip, only longer.
