Christianity is not a theory or speculation, but a life; not a philosophy of life, but a living presence.

Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Remember this in all things...relax, find comfort in knowing He is taking care of what you need...

8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:

“ You are worthy to take the scroll,
      And to open its seals;
      For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
       10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice:

“ Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“ Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. (Revelation 5:8-14, New King James Version)

1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
25 Brethren, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (1 Thessalonians 5, New King James Version)

Taylor, you are so right about loving people now. Theses things that keep happening just remind me that Jesus is coming back and are we ready?

It breaks my heart to see people suffer in any way. Yet it's these sort of things that wake people up, even us Christians.

I will be praying as I hope all who read what you wrote.

Lord, I lift up Taylor's friends that were in that earth quake. I am glad they are OK. I want ask for peace for them and those around them. It's times like this that people turn to You. I pray that allot will turn to you. Thank you for this groups that we can talk about You freely and know that others will be talking to You about this as well. Thank you for being a God of grace and a God who Loves us when we fall. In your Name. Amen!!!!

Hi, Tobias
I would have to say the only way to convince me that Jesus isn't the only way to go to Heaven to be with God, would be for Jesus to say so. But He didn't do that. What he did do was come down, live perfectly, and let a bunch of people who didn't believe in Him-who hated Him- beat Him until His skin was hanging off His body, spit in His face, shove one inch thorns through His forehead and nail Him to a tree like a rapist or murderer or theif. Then, He allowed Himself to die and take on every ounce of punishment we ever desrved, every pain we caused, every wrong thing we ever did upon Himself so we wouldn't have to pay for it. Then, He came back to life to show death had nothing on Him any more. That way all we had to do is give Him a chance and try to live loving Him. And, yeah, we get it wrong ALL the time. We're rude, we lie, we are mean, we judge just like everyone else. But we're forgiven, so we just keep trying because we have being with Him one day to look forward to.
Hell is seperation from God (and obviously the lake of fire and the worms) but the worst part about it is being away from God. If you don't love God or don't want to believe Jesus, of course He's not going to force you to live out eternity with Him because you hate Him. He's not going to make you. He's not into taking your choice away because that would take who He is away.
The character of God says He will do what He says. He said He'd take us home with Him if we love Him and trust Him. He said if we don't, then we will go to Hell and be away from Him always. God is a just God and it seems harsh but for Him to make an exception to the rule would not only take away who He is, but would also make the murder of His Son pointless. He rose again, but as a parent I know it would rip my heart out of my chest to see my child go through what Jesus did even if it did save millions of people. He wouldn't do it if there was another way to bring us back to Him.
Anyway, Tobias, you won't change what God says or who He is. You can ignore it, try to change our minds, or whatever you want. But it won't make it any less true. In fact, you could convince every person in this group that God doesn't mean what He says, and it still wouldn't change the fact that what God says happens and that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. God is still God.
Im glad you asked us this. Honest questions are painful and hard to ask and the truth hurts and ticks us off sometimes. It's still worth knowing though. And it doesn't make you worth less or unloveable or anything. And it also isn't a shock. We still love you and I hope one day you fall in love with Jesus. We'll be praying for you, Tobias.

Tobias, first thanks for joining this group. I have to tell you, you can't stop us from saying that. It's the truth for those who aren't saved. Like I put on my Facebook page( I'd rather believe in God now and find He wasn't real when I die, then not believing now and finding He was real like He said. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.)

Why don't you believe there is a God?
