I was just thinking and wondering besides my ministry of choir at my church, and raising my children to adore Jesus Christ.... What more can I do? What more does the Lord need me to do? What am I capable of doing for Him? Do I do local missions? Do I continue to try to reach my un-believer family members? SO, OF COURSE I am praying about this, and looking to verify it thru scripture and hear the Lords word.....and I got to thinking.... what do you all do ????????

Tried to be like Christ sometimes all it takes is to be love for people be that shoulder for them to lean on!! Sometimes telling people is not what they need at that time.

I'm training to be a missionary with YWAM. I am currently interning in CA but I will be doing my formal training in Colorado or Kentucky.

I seem to end up in constant apologetics mode. People love talking to me about God and their faith struggles without much prompting. I think I have more intense conversations while I pour pints of beer for people than I do in my youth group, and more heartfelt talks while practicing taekwondo than when I'm teaching. Not that I don't evangelize as a youth minister and catechist. It just seems that God uses me more often when I'm not doing anything particularly religious. Not sure why that is.

That being said, I'm a grad student in theology, so my religion is basically my life. But I didn't start there. I went through some pretty horrible times (including a stint in a particularly nasty brand of paganism) before I let God work in me, so I guess my perspective on ministry is a bit different than others. I think that as long as you're open to His Will, He will use you as He sees fit, and that you just have to be willing to say yes when He asks.

I shared my testimony.
