Christianity is not a theory or speculation, but a life; not a philosophy of life, but a living presence.

Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Remember this in all things...relax, find comfort in knowing He is taking care of what you need...

I am glad you are enjoying it. I also encourage you, if you are not already (you probably are) a part of a body of believers that meets regularly to study the Word as well as worship and praise Jesus together, which is also what the early church did. They also ate and had fellowship together a lot, so knew better how to care for one another and pray for one another.

This is a lot like the first Church, where the people learned from the People.
Instead of learning from a priest.
I enjoy this very much. (:

That is fabulous that you chart sections as you read. It is very difficult to keep so many names in context with events, especially as prophets don't refer to other prophets or even the same kings as they relate what God has given them to say (which of course is the first order of business and the reason for the book). Some study Bibles have some charts that help in this regard, like a timeline with the Bible books laid out over events and reigns of kings in the northern and southern kingdoms. But doing your own is great!

@Philip - I chart stuff as I read to help me put people and events in context. To be honest, I didn't remember her name off the top of my head, just that it was a coup d'etat of the throne in Judah by grandma. Then I went to the chart I previously made to get the correct name. You question is excellent because the way you worded it doesn't allow for each word shortcut with a concordance, as with you Balaam's donkey question.

Where in Scripture does it say God will not give you more then you can handle?

The Donkey didn't like getting beat by Balaam. So God opened it's mouth.
Which...is really cool!
