i think this shoe (notice the this because im not sure about the whole mine or yours ownership part) but the shoe should be a plain sneaker with the walls of the shoe to have both your faces over and over again doing odd facial expressions. and then transform the rest of the shoe into a mythical beast. such as making the laces tails and the front part have eyes and a face and wings up the side of the shoe. then on the bottom of the shoe make the like bottom sole have foot prints of a mythical beast all across it. :)

The shoe should definetly incorporate the signature blue and green. Also, would it be too cheesy to suggest that instead of a "Right" and a "Left" shoe that there be a "Rhett" and a "Link" shoe? And what do I think the shoe should say about me? - I think it should be the kind of shoe that when you wear it, the passerby will stop and say "There goes a mythical beast".

Oh yeah, I forgot. I think the mythical shoe should be a sneaker or a Chuck Taylor hightop.

Mythical shoes? Definitely the pointy-toed Arab shoes seen throughout Africa and the Middle East. Good for both men and women, they look like something a mythical genie would wear ... I rest my case.

I'm just going to copy&paste what I posted on the FB page:

Alrighty, here are my thoughts on the Mythical Shoes : Should be a sneaker, definitely using velcro, not shoelaces (for obvious reasons). Kind of like a Converse style, either high top or normal. For color they should be blue&green (again, for obvious reasons). On the sides they should have your logo, or a black (actua...lly, if the particular part of the shoe is green, make it blue, and vice-versa) silhouette of the Randler, or any other design that is suggested. Ooh, or they could say "I'm a Mythical Beast" or something along those lines on the side. Okay, that's all I've got for now. If I think of anything else I'll leave it as a comment to this post. I'm really exicted about the shoes! :]

Thumbs up to this idea, especially putting the RandLer on it I think a high top with Velcro would be amazing.

Another thing you could do is put R & L somewhere on the shoe seeing as it's Rhett & Link and those two letters also stand for Right and Left, maybe I'm taking this too far though...maybe if you could put something on the bottom of the shoe do it that way (the R on one and L on the other)?

This is wicked cool regardless :)

I'm really liking some of these ideas ^^. I think regardless of which style of shoe is chosen, the bottom sole should have some sort of mythical looking footprint design sticking out, similar to what Kathryn suggested (like those flip flops that leave duck prints behind when you walk in them). Amber (The Phoenicorn)'s idea is also neat; I like the layering of the show canvas and the word 'Beast' printed on the back heal, and while I think the seal on the side is neat, I don't know if that makes it too chuck taylor-y (as those shoes already have a circular seal there) seeing as they're gonna be designing a whole new shoe. I dunno though.
I'll post some of my own ideas when I get a chance.
