People perceive bronies as weird because we watch a show Designed for younger girls. This is because of the "rule" implanted in our brains by the media telling us that pink is for girls and blue is for boys. The haters of the fandom keep this to heart. What the bronies are doing are breaking this "rule" and creating a place on the internet where anyone, what ever their gender, sex, race, disability or any other factor, will be accepted. It's a place where everypony fits in. No one to judge, discriminate or hate. Haters are going to hate, but that just make this fandom stronger. We take that hate and use it to make us stronger, and with a bit of luck, the hater will eventually see that the brony community is a place of harmony and they will accept us and everything we do. That anypony can enjoy a show with the colour pink and cute funny ponies. At that point the pink blue "rule" will be history, everypony will accept everypony, and there will be peace in our time.
