"It Looked Much Better Online"
In my line of work, I hear this all the time. I work for a automotive dealer group in the online / internet department. This is not to say that our cars aren't nice in person, but sometimes dings or scratches don't always show in the pics. :)
This could be applied to anything you see online, whether it is eBay, Craigslist or wherever you make your online purchases.
I think Rhett and Link could make a snappy tune lamenting this common grievance that we all face at some point in our lives.
