Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Greetings Mythical Beasts! What' your favorite movie? And why? Do you have more than one favourite movie? Or if you have none, do you have a favorite genre?
In this discussion you can also recommend movies to other people if you like to :)

My favorite movies are Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas- both by Tim Burton. I just LOVE the concept art in these films. The Dark Knight comes third in my list. The portrayal of the Joker is excellent!
If i were to recommend a movie, it would definitely be Pan's Labyrinth. Yes it's in Spanish, but it's worth watching :)

I think I too liked part 1 as a whole more than part 2. But there was something so intimate and extremely touching about the last scene with Bill and Beatrix in part 2....

Yes! Vertigo is very good. I liked Rear Window more, but Vertigo rocked very hard in its own way.

@Mel Kill Bill is awesome! though i prefer part 1 instead of part 2. Have you watched Vertigo from Hitchcock? if so, is it a good movie?
LOL, of course it's a chick-flick, with all the singing and dancing and carrying on. But there's stuff in there for dudes too. I mean c'mon, what's more manly than a barn-raisin', promptly followed by a brawl that destroys the aforementioned barn? That part is très butch!

My favorite movie is The Crow. It is as James O'barr said at Realmscon, "a love letter with violence". If you haven't seen it I recommend it, and if you have seen it, enhance it more by reading O'barr's comic. It is what the movie is based on.
hmmm... the crow is now on my 'to watch' list :D
wow i really can't believe that i've forgotten to watch that movie for years. Thanx for reminding me lol
if you like 'dark' movies, i recommend Pan's Labyrinth. it really is a movie deserved to be watched many times.

has anyone watched any good thrillers lately?
Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies of all time. Great plot, actors, concept art, it was directly beautifully. All around great movie.

I also like (the original) Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, I Am Legend, Batman - Dark Night, Pee Wee's Big Adventure (another Tim Burton directed film), The Fugitive, Nacho Libre, Napoleon Dynamite, and so many more I can't think of at the moment...
Thanks Randler Wolf for the suggestion. I have been wanting to watch Pans Labyrinth.
i LOVE the concept art for Edward Scissorhands! that's what made me watch the movie endlessly :D

Well, to be honest, I'm quite the movie lover, so to say that I have A favorite would be pretty difficult... But I did go see The Blind Side recently, and that's climbing the list pretty quickly!! ;)
Braveheart and That Thing You Do! Totally different, but both equally as awesome! :)
Forest Gump is my favorite movie. Because of all of the quotes
