RhettandLinKommunity

Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Do you ever have something happen that is super funny and you want to tell someone about it, but you realize that only another Rhett and Link fan would get it?

For example, my little 4 year old son the other day went in the bathroom and stuck the back of his head under the faucet and then came dripping to me and said "Guess what I just did, Mommy? I went phatdipping in the sink!" I just don't think Grammy and Grampa would get that! But I know the Kommunity can laugh with me.

Anyone else have this kind of thing to share?

You know you and your family had watched too much Rhett and Link when....

Our 4 year old daughter slammed herself on the couch and caressing it, said: "This sofa is good for a black person."

We were preparing breakfast and she blurted out (singing): "At the Red House!"

I took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's today. It was surprise, so they didn't know. As we approached the place I said: "I smell something fishy!" and she started jumping on her car seat, "Yay!! Woohoo!! We're in Boston proper!"

I text message these things to my husband, who's in an out-of-town conference, and calls me saying "I had to explain to my peers why I was laughing so hard, and nobody understood when I tried to tell them about Rhett & Link..."
Yes, Kaylen! What a great idea!!

... or should we say... Kollab? ..... no? Okay...

And thanks, Barb!

One of my third graders said, in class today, "That's so BEAST!!" Haha... I know people have been using it for a while, but, of course, it made me think of the Kommunity.
Every single time a website offers an RSS feed, that lyric from the internet overdose song pops into my head:

"...never heard of RSSs, my hands were full with two email addresses/and a myspace page, lying about my income and age..."

I realize that's not exactly a funny story, but I'm sure the rest of you can relate!
As a chick, I never thought this particular video would be one that I personally related to...

I had to get some bloodwork for my annual "health assessment" for my insurance through work. Today I went in for my physical exam, and my doctor was reviewed the results with me. It was all pretty mundane (I'm ridiculously healthy) until he got to my kidney function. He read me the numbers and then explained that they were incredibly good, 'cos basically I have the kidney function of a 15-year old. (Not too shabby considering I'm 32).

I couldn't resist. I had to give him my cheesiest grin and exclaim, "I'm peein' like a teen!!!"
Well, lately I've been listening to the Cornhole Song so much that I decided I should record it on my phone and make it my ring tone. Sure, my friends/family give me some strange looks when my phone rings, but I was pretty proud of myself for having the idea. Anyways, the other day when I went to the movie theater, I had my phone with me. The theater I go to doesn't have one of those things during the previews reminding you to turn off your cell phone, so of course I forgot. To top it all off, my phone's volume was up as loud as it could go. I didn't realize this until half way through the movie, my phone started playing "Everybody was Cornholin', bag throwin', and it's good for your, good for your soul..." at top volume. I quickly got my phone out of my pocket, ignored the call, and turned my phone off. I got some pretty strange looks from the people sitting around me. Let's just say I will never forget to turn off my phone during a movie again. LOL :)
Okay, I've got a couple to add :)

1) A couple weeks ago while driving to school I had R&L playing on my iPod. I had my left turn signal on in the turn lane, and it sounded like it was going crazy and off its normal rhythm. It took me a few seconds to realize that I had the S.E.T.I. song on, and there's a sort of click in the percussion that matches the sound of my turn signal exactly. Unfortunately now whenever I listen to the S.E.T.I. song that's all I can think about.

2) This weekend I was at a cousin's wedding reception and my immediate family was sitting at a round table together. I don't remember exactly what we were talking about, but my mom says to my sister-in-law, "Tess submits stuff all the time to Ren and Stimpy" . . . to which I reply, "Uh... Mom... Don't you mean Rhett and Link?"

Laughs were had by all.
My sister knows I'm a big R&L fan. So she sent me this text message today: A kid from my class presented their project and they had a video with it. It was the facebook song from rhett and link lol.

I asked her, "Did people laugh?" and she said, yes they did.

That made me smile! :D I bet my sister rolled her eyes when they showed it! Haha!
