Just for fun! An RPG Story
Hey guys!
I’m sure most of you have seen us roll playing in the Komm chat. ^^ Well, Zach and I have decided to make one here, in a discussion, for those who are interested in a more long-term RPG story.
Firstly, it might seem like there are a lot of rules, but they are mostly just common sense and will not inhibit your ability to control your character. Also, even though we are “Game Masters” we will not abuse that power, in fact we will even kill our own characters if we feel it is correct. This RPG story is meant to be fun, do not take anything that happens in it personal, no matter what. Have a good time, use your creativity as much as you can, and just enjoy the story as it unfolds.
Rules!
- You can have multiple Characters! They don’t have to be all on the side of good, or all on the side of bad, you can have both, either, or neither.
- You may not control another person’s named character.
- You may not kill another person’s named character.
- All decisions regarding final fates of characters are to be decided by the GMs (game masters).
- Try to keep the story central.
- GMs are able to ban participants.
- One post at a time! If you submit a post in the RPG story, don’t post again directly afterwards, wait for another person to post in between. If you address another person’s character, wait for that person to answer.
- All characters must be able to die. No invincible characters. Ever!
- Try your best to keep everything is pace.
- No destroying the world.
Sub rules
1. The world is an Earth like situation, which means that you cannot fly. Of course, some characters with wings, and magic powers are able to fly, but real-world physics still apply..
2. Mythical Beasts are allowed. Meaning you can have dragons, phoenixes, and other types of creatures that may or may not exist in the real world.
3. This is a time period similar the middle ages, which means, there are no guns.
4. There is magic on this world. (Such as the use of fire, water, earth, lightning, light, and dark magics.) Of course, standard use of magic applies.
5. You are allowed to create a character of a different race, such as the races: orcs, drow, elves, and dwarves, among others. Try to keep your character’s personality similar to the characteristics of its race. For example, since dwarves like to eat, to not make an anorexic dwarf.
6. There are the different kinds of magic users, such as: wizards, sorcerers, druids, warlocks, clerics, necromancers, magicians, etc. If you are going to use a magic user you must stay within the boundaries for that type of magic user. As an example Necromancers cannot heal people, it just doesn’t work.
7. Creatures that are summoned using something such as an artifact will have to return to their plane of existence after a period of time depending on the strength of the creature summoned. But if a creature is summoned through a ritual (such as a demon) they can say on the plane of existence they were summoned on until banished, or summoned elsewhere.
8. Magic is not infinite, it relies on the strength of the user and it takes a price for its use. The stronger the magic the more the energy it takes to use. If you use magic to start a fire, and then the fire starts the trees on fire, it will take less magic than for you to try to start all the trees on fire on your own. Magic will also take more energy to travel a further distance.
9. Weapons can be enchanted, although those weapons are rare. Weapons that are enchanted must be enchanted as they are made, they cannot be enchanted after they are finished being made.
10. If the game masters have missed any rules, or feel that there needs to be more, they can add rules for the sake of keeping the story fun, entertaining, and fair.
Now that the rules are all out there nice and pretty, I would like to ask something..
Mods, if you would like us to move this discussion to another, external, site, I would very happily do so, if it becomes bothersome in any way. I would however, very much like to ask that you do not delete it. If we could have a warning first, so we have a chance to save the work, I would be very, very thankful.

"Current year? I do not know. Time is an illusion, and so I pay no attention to it. Now, about those two, they are troublemakers indeed, and you seem to be sharp enough to have caught my basic purpose. However, I'm not hunting to kill, as you probably have also seen. Now.. you have caught my eye.. How would you like to be a companion of mine? It would be mutually beneficial, and I could teach to how to fight as payment."

Rin glanced over to Finn, then turned back to Loraden. "If you'd like to know details, let's get a drink and sit down over there." Rin motioned to the far table, grabbed his drink, and walked over, pulling out a chair for Loraden to sit on, before sitting down himself.

"Well, first, I'll talk about Argoron. I do know of him, and I'm certain he knows me, but not under this name. My old name has some unfortunate ties to it.. And Finn and Seth. they're two dangerous man. Have you heard of the destruction of the Kanoa Provence? And Argoron is a demon from the lower planes, am I right?" With that, Rin took a small sip of his drink, and looked at it with a strange look on his face.

"Not a rat.. but you're close, Loraden. It's blood.. There's blood in this drink.. Oh well. What exactly have you heard about Kanoa? Just their dissapearance?" Rin watched Loradin's face carefully.
Seth, upon approaching the tree line, sees a man lying in the grass. "What is he doing there.." Seth walked up to him cautiously. "Hello?"

"Hmmm.. I believe you are beginning to understand.." Said Rin. "Of course, there's more to it than that, but there's no time now, that guy," He motions to Finn. "will awake soon, and I need to be gone by that time. Would you like to come with me, or should I meet you here tomorrow?"

Rin smirked, then stood. "It's a deal." He then simply walked out into the night. "This guy has potential.. I am intrigued. Tomorrow will be interesting indeed."
Raelin watched Rin walk off into the night before hopping down from his perch in a nearby tree. His naginata was no longer in his hand, but he seemed no less imposing. Turning away from the inn, he began to walk towards the eastern lake, with determination in his face.

Myra was thoroughly confused. She didn't know who to believe or which side to be on, or if she should even be on a side at all. She needed to find more information about this whole situation. There was obviously something much larger going on.
Finn was stirring, and she applied more of the herbs. As she looked at him, she wondered what his story was. Who was he? Why was he here?
She looked up and heard Rin say "It's a deal" and walk away. What had they been talking about? She was now more curious than ever.
She brushed some wisps of dark brown hair away from her emerald green eyes and sighed as dipped the cloth back into the bowl. Should she even be helping this man?

Finn groaned, then opened his eyes to see Myra above him. "Who.. who are you?" He breathed, then coughed. "I need.. I need to get to my bag before he does.." While he was thinking that, he noticed Rin was no longer there, and nor was Seth, and his face showed surprise, before he closed his eyes again. "I'm safe now, I hope.. But.. where did Seth go? ...Did Rin get him?" His expression changed to worry, before he looked over at Myra again.

"Drink this. It will help you feel better." She put the bowl of water and herbs in his hands. He didn't seem like that bad of a person. She watched as several different expressions appeared on his face and wondered what he was thinking. He was one interesting man. And quite handsome.
"I'm Myra... And who are you?"

"I'm Finn.." He said, before bringing the bowl up to his lips and taking a drink. Finn then set the bowl down next to him, and adjusted his posture against the wall. He then looked over at Myra again. "Thank you for the care. I'm afraid I made a mess of the place." He looked down at his slightly torn clothes. "And myself, so it seems." He thought for a moment. "You're name is Myra.. are you a healer?"

Seth walked up to the man, who didn’t wake at his call. He looked him over, and found a purse. “This will help you from getting drunk again.” Seth thought, as he cut the purse from the man’s belt. He smiled; he was that much closer to the bribe money. He continued into the woods. He walked through the trees, feeling like he was at home. He still remembered little on why he was here, but he knew enough to know that it was important. He heard a group of men coming down the small path in the woods. When they got close enough, he stepped out of the forest. The three of them had looks of shock on their face. He smiled, one that promised pain to come.
“We can do this the easy way, or the hard way.” Seth began. “If you give me all the money you have on you, I’ll spare your lives.” This had the desired effect. The men’s faces turned from shock to anger.
“You and what army?” The oldest man said. Seth smiled as he took a step back.
“I don’t need an army.” Seth replied. He watched as the men laughed. “Fine, if you think you can take me, then do so.” Seth said to the lead man. “I’ll make a bet, if I tag you first you give me your money, if you tag me first, I’ll give you mine.” As he said this he slid out his sword.
The man looked at Seth and calmly replied, “Your on.”
Seth took a step forward and sliced, but the man turned and avoided the blow trying to thrust at Seth. Seth followed his swords movement as the man’s thrust went past him. He then grabbed the wrist of the man and twisted. With a yelp the man let go of his sword. Seth then put the tip of his sword on the man’s throat.
“Give me the money.” He said to the man. Instantly the man’s friends tried to pull their swords. Seth took a step toward the man and pulled out a dagger.
“Give me the money now!” Seth said to the men. As he said this they took out their purses and tossed them to Seth.
“You too.” He said to the man who he had his dagger upon. Reluctantly the man pulled his purse and gave it to Seth.
“Now get out of my sight!” Seth yelled at the men, laughing as they tripped in the forest.

"Well my mother works with medicine and I've helped her since I was 10, so I'm very familiar will all the herbs and medicines. She always said I was a natural at it." Or was he asking if she knew healing magic? She had never thought about magic much until tonight. But now that she thought about it, it seemed possible that there might be something more to her special touch with herbs. It was all too much to think about at the moment.
"So.." she hesitated. "Can I know a litte about you? I can tell you're not from here, and that show with that man Rin left a lot of unanswered questions..."
