Rhett's Birthday project???
Hi Mythical Beasts,
I was just wondering if there is going to be a project done for Rhett's birthday this year? I've seen the previous books he has gotten and being a relatively new Mythical beast I would love the opportunity to be involved in the next one.
I am going to be sending him a piece of art separately that I should get finished in time. (Need to get back to it!) If it ever got shown on Thursdays mail or on his birthday show, I think I would die.
Anyway just wondering, if there is going to be a group created, as I searched for one and couldn't find it.
Maybe it's too early, maybe I'm too eager, but I don't know how long these things take to put together.

Hey guys, I unfortunately can't help with birthday project this year because my mom has been ill and in the hospital several times this year. She has had cancer, surgery, and had one treatment of chemo a few weeks ago but now, this past Tuesday, she just had 3 strokes and has been in ICU this week. I need to focus on her and matters with the family and work. I will not be on the Kommunity very much.
Have fun getting Rhett's gift together! I really hope you guys put together something really awesome for him! :) I'm hoping I'll be able to send him something small at some point when the time is right.

So far, no one in particular has stepped up to lead a birthday project for Rhett or decided on a specific idea for it.
We would need one person, or a couple of close collaborators, to decide what the project is, set the parameters/guidelines, gather submissions, and collect it all into its final project form to send it to Mythical Entertainment before Rhett's birthday on October 11.

Well I was asking because I'm willing to help with receiving/shipping physical items (I'm in the US), but I was wondering if people were actually doing anything yet. Without time to decide on a group project, if people don't have things boxed up and ready to send stateside, I don't know that I could be of much use in that area. And I thought that Emma was heading this, but perhaps I was mistaken. Sorry.
Has anyone made a group yet? Do we need a group? I saw that was mentioned and not followed up on...

I know Emma started the discussion, but with only about a month until Rhett's birthday, I haven't seen anything concrete decided on by either her or anyone else.
However, Jaymie is now leading a project (see her comment below yours) that only requires digital submission to her via email, and she will take care of compiling everything. She's accepting birthday letters/notes to Rhett and any fan art that people want to send him! Deadline is September 17 so she can compile, print, and ship.
