Ever Wanted Your Name Tattooed On My Body?
For a while now, I've been straddling the fence on whether or not to join the ranks of the tattooed, and today I finally walked into the tattoo parlor. I always thought I knew what I wanted (Batman tattoo - the bat tat), but as I started asking for appraisals, a custom Batman tattoo started to sound preeeetty expensive. This is mostly because the design I liked, in an attempt not to look lame and generic, is way too intricate and I'd have to sell some organs to get it.
SO.
I started talking to the artist about possible things, and because I don't want to look like a beer crushing bro (not that I might not be one a little bit secretly, but I don't want to be identified immediately as such), tribal bands and kanji letters are out. So zodiac symbols seemed kind of cool; I've got a friend who's got a wicked Leo tattoo, and everyone seems to like it. Problem is, I'm a pisces. Fish = Not so cool. But the artist whipped up a quick sketch of a badass hammerhead as a variation on my symbol (see picture), and I like it.
But.
I'd still love all of my mythical beasts to throw out some ideas for what I should get permanently inked onto me (that includes you, Rhett and Link). I'm pretty open to ideas, AND, to sweeten the deal, if I like your idea, I'll get either your initials or your mythical beast name tattooed on my body! It'll be a bit smaller than the rest of the design, but still!!!
Help play a part in my inked future! I need a tattoo before I leave England to come back to the States!

I think it really depends on what you like. Also, put it in a place where you could easily cover it up. If I were you, I would use hena first because it comes off. I think something like this would be good:

liandra, thanks for suggesting a sweet batman tat. seven cool points for you. i've done henna a few times before, and i'm definitely ready to step it up to real ink at this point. was that henna something you designed?
i was thinking today that getting the kidzbop symbol tattooed on my chest would really help attract the ladies, don't you agree?

My Interests Tend To Include:
-peeling oranges
-ironing my pants
-making sure all the windows in the house are closed before going to bed
-making paper clips into straight lines then trying bend them back into a paper clip shape
-reaching for things on high shelves
How could I make this into one big super tattoo? Ideas?
But Anna P, i do realize the potential cons of getting a tattoo, but am not above removal later on down the road. I'm also not above getting something hilarious, yet timeless. Like a sheep ironing a wool sweater!
....or something.
Speaking of funny tattoos that aren't stupid ideas from me, what would you guys get?

My nephew (age 21) did about the STUPIDEST thing ever - - well, to be honest, for him it probably doesn't even rank in the top 10 - - and had the words "Your Name" tattooed on his butt ~ à la Steve-O.
I guess he thought he could maybe win some lame bar bets, like that's not one of the oldest jokes in the history of mankind. I can imagine two drunk cavemen sitting around the fire with sootash and a pointy stick, thinking they could pull that one over on the poor neanderthal from across town - - but even he wasn't dumb enough to fall for it.

Someday, I'd like a tattoo of Alice in Wonderland on my right shoulder.
My sister has four tattoos - a lily on her inner upper arm; a Chat Noir on her leg, by her ankle; a Vargas girl reading a book on the back of her opposite calf and a forget-me-not flower on her wrist.
