Seattle Mythicon is a great idea, but Pike's Place is a no-go for me. Parking is terrible, and it's crawling with tourists. Especially in Summer.

I've participated in some large meet-ups at Renton Parks. I suggest Lake Boren, as parking isn't a problem and there's room to be active. However, if I have any takers on this, I will probably call and see if the Parks Department is aware of any other big meetings at Lake Boren on the 18th, in which case, we'd move.

If we have under 5 people, I'd love to do board games. Over 5, maybe a field day type of event(s) with a water balloon toss or something.

I've messaged the host of the Pike Place event, and perhaps we can work together!

RENEE - - Glad to see that you are interested in bringing some direction to this proposed meeting. I haven’t heard anything from Zebralinkola since her initial request to host the event back in March. I see that you also posted a direct message to her as well as here and on the "Become a Host" page.

I will just go ahead and instate you as host (leaving Zebralinkola with a "co-host" title for the moment) and you can pick a replacement site which you feel is most appropriate. Just let me know when you have pinned down the spot. Go ahead and begin your planning and feel free to discuss that alternate site with others who might reply.

I believe that Pike’s Place Market was only selected because it was the same location that was attempted last year, although I never received a confirmation if it even happened.
