Hi, everyone!
If you're interested in attending, please leave a comment here and let me know! Otherwise, down the road, I might assume no one wants to come...and then we're all left out in the cold.
Speaking of, make sure you mark your calendar(s) with the date of Mythicon so you don't forget about Mythicon in the 3 - 4 months that will pass before July arrives. I hope to hear from you soon! :)
Sounds good, Marie -- thanks for letting me know. :)
Hi Victoria,
I'm interested in attending although I have swim meets every Saturday morning in the summer so I wont be able to arrive until shortly after 1:00 (probably around 1:30). Will that cause a problem or will I still be able to attend? thank you
Hey, Courtney -- arriving at 1:30 shouldn't be an issue. We're meeting in a food court, so the rough plan is to have lunch there and hang around for a bit, then walk to the National Mall and get some Mythicon photos with the monuments (if people are up for it).
I'm sure we'll still be there eating at 1:30 (we should be there at least an hour), so please feel free to come when you can after your swim meet!
Thanks, I'm going to talk to my parents tonight to confirm that I can come :)
it is confirmed that I can go. I can't wait :)
That's great! Once July 18 is closer, I'll be re-checking in with confirmed participants to make sure everyone is still on board to attend. I look forward to seeing you at Mythicon!
Hello, I would like to join for the DC meet up. What are some rules of attendance and should I bring anything like money?
Hi, Robert! There aren't any real "rules" aside from showing up at the designated date, time, and location -- Mythicon will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m. We'll be meeting at the Smithsonian Zoo; I'll likely stake a spot near the entrance to gather everyone up before we head inside.
Since this is a meeting of Mythical Beasts, I'll come up with a few Rhett and Link-related things for us to do--maybe some trivia questions, ice breakers, stuff like that.
The zoo is free, so no money is required there. You only need to bring money if you want to purchase any food items from the Starbucks across the street or the eatery options located inside the zoo!
Hi victoria
Im pretty sure i can come
i live pretty close to dc
is there any fee for attending?
Hi, Charlie -- admission is free to the National Zoo, but there is a $22 parking fee if you're driving there and need to park. Since you live so close, you should be able to take the metro to get to the zoo and just walk into it. Hope that answered your question!
