This one was not built for spite, but every time I pass by this little house near my neighborhood it does remind me of the movie UP! You can check it out on Google Maps or Bing Maps street view at 301 Maple Street, Richardson, TX

Basically, as the other houses in this neighborhood have been systematically bought out and bulldozed to build "McMansions" up and down the street, this little yellow place on the corner lot is left to stand alone. The size of homes being built today require 2 or 3 of the small land lots for construction, so this tiny place is stuck at the end of the street forever.

Little yellow house was built probably in the mid-60's to early-70's as were most of the residential properties in the area. Prior to that, the whole of Richardson, TX was primarily cotton fields and cattle grazing. The neighbors beside them popped up in the past 2 years, and today there are only two or three of the original small houses left on this street.
