Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!
Good evening all!
I figured I'd start out with a introduction discussion.
My name is Chris and I served in the US Army. I am no longer active duty but I work for the US Navy as a contractor as a Desktop Support Technician for the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune. I have also worked in various other contracting positions for USMC and US Army in the past.
So, enough about me. How about you? Leave a short description here if you feel comfortable doing so. And please remember...we all served so no ego wars!
Thank you,
Chris

Well Chris you did good on serving your country, not just your country but everyone's country.I think your a nice person. My half friend wants to be in the Army, but her stepsister (my friend) says that she's going to die out in the battle field. But I think that's a good idea cause she wants to serve our country.Thank-you for serving our country. You have a huge heart.
Thank you for the support. I absolutely support the desire to serve in the military, what ever branch is so desired. They all contribute to multiple aspects of discipline and life learning. The Army taught me so much about myself and aided in my growth as a disciplined person. As I now have 4 kids I try to instill in them some of the lessons learned to help them with their growth and development in becoming the person they choose to be. Each one of them is unique in their own ways, just as individuals in the military compliment each other with own attributes. Everyone brings something to the table, so to speak.
As for the "dying on the battlefield..", unfortunately it does happen and the effect can be long lasting, if not for the rest of one's life. The experiences mold one's mindset and, at least for me, gave me a new outlook on my life. I meet soldiers and Marines that are in the care of the Wounded Warrior clinic from time to time and they are real heroes to me. I support the IT side of the house and being able to support those who treat and support our heroes gives a good feeling in my heart.
Again, thank you for the support.
Welcome Ken, great to meet you!
