36,820 people attended the 44th Annual Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot (Thanksgiving Day 22-Nov-2012) and a new World Record is set. Not only was this year another attendance record, but you didn't have to go to Spain this year to witness some intense creatures charging down the street.
Donning turkey outfits for the annual Trot has become a tradition that many racers have incorporated into the day of fun. In 2011, dressing up as turkeys became a way for families to work together and gobble up a spot in the record book. The on-site official Guinness World Record judge declared this morning the new record was set as 661 people dressed as turkeys were assembled at the race.
