Yes sir! We believe that the Bible is true as far as it is translated correctly. Paul is someone I quote a lot.

Ok thanks for the reply! I was reading in galations 1:8-10 it says "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
The gospel he is speaking of is that ye must be born again by the blood of Jesus Christ being the only entrance into heaven. So my question is how would you guys apply these verses to your religion?

And yet, your opinion differs from God's truth. I'm not trying to start a fight and will never argue doctrine with anyone of my own faith let along any other, but let me please point out why I don't believe as you do. Then I will leave the group, since I am not a Morman - - you can ask more of me in the CHRISTIANS fan group if you would like to discuss the differences further.

The question asked was not how your religion deals according to the Book of Mormon but as it relates to a Bible doctrine. 

Repentance, atonement and sacrament are all religious works - - fine enough as evidence of one's salvation should never be confused as a substitute for the work already completed.  Being born again is about nothing more than accepting the works already completed by Jesus Christ, the Son of God . . . the very definition of Gospel or "Good News" being his literal and physical death, burial and resurrection as the complete and only acceptable payment for sin debt . . . a debt we can never pay ourselves.

 

 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

~ Ephesians 2:8-9

 

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

~ Romans 3:3-4

1. All Have Sinned
Romans 3:10- "...There is none righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."


2. The Penalty for Sin Is Death & Hell
Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death..."

Luke 16:23- "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments..."


3. Jesus Died to Pay for Our Sins
Romans 5:8- "But God commendeth his love, toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

4. Jesus Arose from the Dead
Romans 10:9- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Romans 6:23- "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."


5. Jesus Invites You To Be Saved
Romans 10:13- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."


This is the full gospel Paul was referring to I just thought I'd emphasize on that, and I was confused because (from what I read) Paul has never mentioned the different heavens we go to, teaches hell is eternal and once you're there you can't get out, etc. Thank you for the answer! I appreciate it, although I just saw a lot of contradictions I have questions about but you guys are probably busy lol
