I had an experience with a line cutter last year that made me pretty upset, although it probably bothered me more than it should. It was at a play I went to with a friend and her husband. She went to the restroom and I was waiting in line for coffee with her husband. It was the first time I had met him so I kinda kept a little bit of extra distance between me and him in line (I like my personal space, lol). Anyway, these 2 little old ladies walked up and asked if this was the end of the coffee line; my friend's husband and I both said yes. One lady proceeded to make eye contact with both of us, then squeezed in between us. The line wasn't perfectly straight, so it took a little ways for her to completely separate me from from my friend, who had come back by this point, and her husband. I'll admit I didn't handle this well. They were little old ladies, but honestly, I felt they should know better. I didn't confront them, but when the line started moving and they were too busy talking to notice, I stepped around them and retook my place in line. This made the lady who had originally made eye contact with me say pretty loudly, "Well! That girl just cut in line!" I held my tongue, but inside my head I was fuming. Apparently, she was the only person allowed to cut in line.
Well, that was a long drawn out story. I know I probably should have let go of the situation, but it truly bothered me since she looked straight at me and chose to ignore that I was there but not the people I was with.
Ok, rant concluded. Sorry about that.
Good for you for taking you place back!
Thanks, Rachel. :-) This was one of those things where I was never really sure if I handled it right. It's nice to get some feedback.
One more thing that should be on this list is class talkers. I am talking about the people who have whisper, or in some cases not so quiet conversations during class.
As usual, we look to the allknowing WIKI for a definition . . .
And, while we're at it, let's also add these folks to my evergrowing list of dislikes . . .
Rant over. Have a nice day.
I think people that sneeze/cough/or do anything with their mouth or nose into their hands before touching you should be arrested. I hate having to shake hands with someone who just sneezed into their hand or take money from someone who just licked their fingers to separate the bills.
Page lickers drive me crazy too!
Perhaps if they were to reserve the left hand for sneeze/cough and use the right hand for all other uses. This reminded me of something I heard long ago, so I looked up a link:

Also, the left hand is considered unclean as it is used for toileting. Always eat with the right hand. If you steal and are convicted, your right hand will be cut off, thus forcing you to eat with your left hand for the rest of your life, which is considered to be the greatest insult.
