RhettandLinKommunity

Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

What if there was a Mythical Meetup in each state on the same day, just to meet other Beasts from your state? Obviously Rhett and Link could not go to them all, but if we decided on a place and time to meet, maybe Rhett and Link could announce it in a video so everyone would know. The meetup would have to take place in the middle of the state, and some of the teeny tiny states could probably just have one meetup for a few states. I don't know about other countries, maybe they could have meetups too.

MythiCon will be held in the U.S. on the third Saturday in August, which is the 17th.

. If you would like to suggest a location, just leave a comment, and you can check out all the official locations so far on the map that Gumbo made: http://batchgeo.com/map/6d47d99bc13fb7cdee0d62839da5181c

UPDATE: MythiCon will officially start at 1 p.m. Also, I need one person from each state to be a "state captain" of sorts. They would do two things:

-One, bring a sign so that any beasts could see it and know where to go;
-Keep the conversation running, making sure that everyone gets to meet each other;
-And bring a medium sized box. Everyone else can bring a little something for the mail boulder (really little, maybe 2" high?) Then the state leader would mail it to Rhett and Link. The leader doesn't have to be the person who suggested the location, although if that person wanted to they would have dibs on the position.

I hope all of you will attend MythiCon 2013 :D

Not what I'm looking for, but thanks.  I want something that can be shared with people outside the Kommunity.  Something with links to each host and any discussion here that tell directly about that city.  Something for people who will not spend time on the Komm to find out.  An easy reference.  Thanks to anyone who can do that!

There are only two sources outside the kommunity discussion for information on MythiCon 2013 - - the wiki page and mapping tool previously discussed.  Both should have current and sufficient info for anyone not a member of this site.  If they want to know more, this is the place to be.

Loved the work you did for the Gutless Wonders - The Musical  project. If this thing works out at all then maybe you could develop a full blown site MythiCon 2014?

2 more days! I'm so excited! :D

Eeep! I'm getting excited as well!

I'm in Michigan, but it doesn't seem like there is a leader anymore here.

The full and official plan for North Carolina's MythiCon is coming tomorrow but, I am adding a bit of an early update today. In addition to the ice breaker( see page 16 for full details) there is also going to be a Rhett and Link trivia game. Also, tomarrow the unavailing of the poster will happen too.

MythiCon-TR has been added to the map . . . the first INTERNATIONAL meetup . . . now that's what I'm talking about! Please post some pics or video of your gathering, even if you are the only one in attendance.

Hold up now... there are mythical bonus points?!? How many points do you get for starting a nationwide (worldwide now I suppose) meetup of Mythical Beasts?

It's worth a +1,500.

Plus you get the crown and sash . . . wear them with pride!

Who's coming to Boston?!

UK?  Canada?  Aussies?

All I've heard so far from you guys is complaints that that there isn't going to be a meeting near you.

Or that those "lucky Americans" get all the breaks.

Take a tip from ANIL ALÇIN [Kanakmann] and start a MythiCon 2013 meeting near you.

Take this thing global!  Invite your friends, bring a neighbor, mythicalize a stranger, drag your little brother along . . . if you don't you have noone to blame but yourself.

FINAL CHANCE - - - it has been suggested that since noone has stepped up to host the potential Mall of Georgia meeting, and it's uncertain whether or not anyone else will attend, it should be taken off the map completely.  I was premature in placing it in the first place, thinking that surely there were more than one mythical beast in North Georgia.

If no response is received on this matter then the MythiCon-GA pin and info will be removed from the map at midnight tonight.

It also appears that the Utah meeting may be in danger, at least at the proposed Fillmore site. But there have since been a few more MBs closer to the SLC area that express an interest in meeting up.  Give me any more info on that if a change of location is necessary and I will certainly update the map data as appropriate.

THANK YOU!
