I was just thinking and wondering besides my ministry of choir at my church, and raising my children to adore Jesus Christ.... What more can I do? What more does the Lord need me to do? What am I capable of doing for Him? Do I do local missions? Do I continue to try to reach my un-believer family members? SO, OF COURSE I am praying about this, and looking to verify it thru scripture and hear the Lords word.....and I got to thinking.... what do you all do ????????

My Church does a tent at the 4-H fair. Outside are two large boxes with a view finder. One box says "the questions millions cannot answer," the other "the answer millions cannot question." We stand outside the tent and ask people if they think they can answer this question, are they smart enough? Etc... What is the question, "If you were to die today are you 100% sure you would go to heaven. The answer, "Jesus saith unto them, I am the way the truth and the life no man goes unto the father but by me."

After they look at both (by their own free will we NEVER push), we ask if they want to leave today 100% certain they would go to heaven. If they do we take them in the tent and show them how to accept Jesus into their hearts.

This is a huge church effort but maybe bring it up to your church as a possibility. Last year we saw 512 souls saved. This year we have already seen over 300 and there is still 3 days left of the fair. The key is to be polite, follow the rules of the fair, and learn to take a few verbal beatings (because it happens)

At the fair we don't put our pearls before swine, if they don't want to hear it, we tell them to have a great day. People turn away, they listen and refuse to say the prayer. No problem, God promise that his word will not return void and it will do what he intends it to do.

So Suzy keep talking to your family tell them the word of God, but don't push them away. God is the one who saves people we can only show them his plan of salvation it's the holy spirit that takes it from there. So good luck!

And if you want to know more about the fair ministry to share with your church let me know. It's a great tool and a good planting seeds ministry. We have 4 churches involved of different denominations every year and God has blessed us and blessed the souls converted.

And remember anything that you do for the Lord is never in vain. Peter saw thousands saved at a time because he was preaching to Jews people who already believed in God. Paul saw only a handful of people saved in his life time because he was preaching to Greeks, people who believed in multiple gods or none at all. But both men served the Lord and even today we are still seeing the fruit of their works.
So Suzy keep the faith, and God will bless you for it!
Well its not so much of what I have done but what I'm trying to do.
see just over a year ago my freinds and I descided to get a band together in order to spread the word. I had previously made a youtube "trombone90210" but because i neither played the trombone nor had i ever seen or been to califonia it just didnt make since. So I made my youtube acousticdoug so that i may spread the word through song. My freinds didnt even know how to play when I made this so up till now im on my own. ive written songs and have tried to get enough together so i can make some descent vids, since all mine right now are not complete.
so i have tried to get the word out and wittness but now im really trying to wittness with music

other than that I have tried to get Family members in church that are not. I've witnessed to my freinds and some have tried it but to no evail.

september Im going to try to get on my church praise band then eventually try to get a good recording out someday and mabye just mabye someone somewere will get a little revalation and hear the Truth about Jesus.
I'm in full time ministry, equipping people with the resources to make biblically sound choices in all areas of their lives, from personal heath to emotional well-being to spiritual education. I'm constantly improving my own knowledge base in order to better equip the saints.
Well I'm pretty heavily involved in my church, from running the sound booth to setting up their website to serving on the leadership team but that just serves those who are already there. To help reach out, I both participate in most of the youth group activities at our church and for the district. And I have formed a group at our church that does bi-monthly meetings to help provide the resources the community needs. Resume writing, cooking on a budget, creating websites, gardening and canning. We schedule these 2 times a month 2 sessions a night with free baby sitting. These are specifically meant to be non-churchy things, but likewise it is still meant to get them in the building and serve their real needs.

My church bought a building in Haiti that we use as an orphanage. I visit it with peeps from my church once a year to help out. Prayer is definitely huge and really helps no matter where you are. I realized the "evangelism" work we do on missions trips seems easier in those places because we see people we'll never see again, so it's easier to talk to them. But why can't we talk the same way to others in our hometowns? We can always find a place for God's work.
I found sharing my faith easy after I went to a weekend trip with my church called, Dare 2 Share
Seven years of ministry in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Two years in France ministering to people from restricted access North African countries. I lead the missions team a my church and one of the things that we do to encourage church members to develop a "world Christian" mentality is to provide free 16-language DVD's of the evangelistic "Jesus" film that they can give to international family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. This is an easy win because they are giving gifts and those gifts do the sharing. I love sharing my testimony and presenting the gospel to people that I encounter and where there is opportunity. When I have been given so much, it is hard not to let that overflow to those around me and to train others in this great joy and responsibility.
Another fun thing that I have done off and on is being a volunteer responder to people who contact evangelistic web sites. I do this through Global Media Outreach.
Thanks everybody for your replies!!! The things you all do are such a blessing! I remain at my church doing the music and supporting my son's ministry with running the sound booth - and have been spending a great deal of time with the youth.
Right now we are talking with BBI (Bible Basics International) about some training and United States mission work.
I feel led to do this. I feel led to move outside our church walls and reach out to my local community - so that is what is goin' on!
I feel it is real important for me to wake up each day and ask God what he wants from me today. and also I have been trying to simplify my life from all the unnecessary "busy" stuff that takes away from me doing God's work.
Thanks again all and you are in my prayers!
An unexpected way I've gotten to share my faith in the last year is through YouTube! A lot of my favorite YouTubers are Mormon so I've done a lot of research on how Mormonism compares to biblical Christianity. I've been able to dialogue with various Mormons or those with questions about Mormonism or Christianity. This has fueled further study and further discussions. One is my main sources of info has been www.carm.org/Mormonism. Super helpful info! And in the process I am growing to understand the Mormon culture better and developing a heart for them to know God according to the truth.
I have developed a mini tract that I often use. If anyone is interested, I'd be willing to post the text here.
