They should provide some periodic measurements on the boulder. Maybe it would be a little hard to figure length or diameter, since it doesn't exactly have a smooth surface to work with, but weight would be interesting to track.
I SENT THIS IDEA TO JASON A WHILE BACK. WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT HAPPEN!

I like the idea of sealing the boulder with a clear coat on the outside to bounce.
Thanks Gumbo

Sent Apr 3I have heard that the Mythical Boulder will continue after the end of GMM Season 3 and into the new upcoming MYTHICAL SHOW. I just had an idea and was hoping that you could & would pass it along to Rhett and Link and whoever the intern is being tasked with the maintenance of said boulder.
At HOME DEPOT or any similar type of hardware store they sell tubes of clear silicone caulking which is typically used for sealing cracks in wood or brick or whatever application you neeed. I've used this product on various household projects, especially pool repairs so I know that it dries clear and maintains a rubbery consistency - - - not a dry, hard finish. A 9.8 oz tube costs just $6.24 and comes in a tube like this. . . applies best with a caulking gun which is only a couple of bucks extra.
The idea is to completely seal the boulder with this and then let it dry to a hard, clear ball which will most likely even bounce. I haven't tested the theory, but it should work. might require several coatings to let it dry completely between layers and then all you have to worry about getting completely smooth is the outside. Squirting a good dose into the center of the boulder would also help to solidify it much better than Rhett's hot glue gun.
That's about it. Good day MB.
Then it could be featured in The World's Largest Song as the largest bouncing Mythical Boulder!
