@ K-La V. - - - the planning stage group and meeting site discussion pages for MYTHICON 2014 have been created. If you could, join the group and begin sending out invites to those you want to participate on the Planning Kommittee and let's take the discussion there.
I don't think we should open it to PUBLIC membership until about six months prior to the event, so once you decide on an event weekend date I can add a calendar.
With your permission, I'd like to start a MythiCon 2014 group so as to begin the planning and organization for next year's event. Asking your permission first, since you are the Co-founder and chief planner for the initial meeting.
I think that a GROUP format would work better because:
interested potential delegates can join and by following the group would receive update e-mails as plans develop
group discussions allow for each meeting location to be linked at one site (much like the Great American Roadtrip group has a discussion thread for each state)
as group originator, I can more easily post updated maps, details, etc. in the group description header - - the only thing I like more than details is CURRENT details, so I'm a stickler for clearing outdated info so it doesn't get so confusing
I will make you (or your designated appointee) a co-administrator of the group so that you would also have monitoring and posting rights
I can start the group development now, but don't plan to open it to public until about 6 months before the event date. That would be sometime in February, assuming you want a mid-August meet-up for 2014.
I'll wait to hear back from you directly before proceeding any further.
