Hmmm. That's interesting. I mean, maybe it just depends on where you live and cultures and stuff [I live in a very Hispanic area]. Because at least here, based on the children I hang around, the whole idea that Santa is THE main point of Christmas and that's he's some god that brings presents is sort of dead. I'm pretty sure all/most of those kids like presents the most, but they don't really believe that Santa brings them. He's just some random person they inflate and put in their front yard, "take pictures" with [and I'm sure they don't buy that either], or draw on Christmas cards. He's not very important to the kids down here anymore, really.

Oh and yeah, the actual Saint Nicholas story is pretty cool.

Well...I think the whole concept that he gives presents to kids has sort of been diminishing as the Christmas season has become so focused around commerce and stores bombarding you with catalogs and huge weekend sales. So I think kids know by now, even through store commercials, that their parents buy them their gifts and they're okay with it. Santa is just another sort of "symbol" of Christmas that people use to decorate their homes with instead of being an active part in it (fictionally, of course).

Haha. Santa Claus? What about him? I guess I can start by saying that I never believed in him as a kid.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from. It's so tough, though...like I mean I guess if they couldn't do an emergency c-section [that's what they did with for my mom when she went through that situation; however, the baby died half an hour later she was born]...I don't know. It's a hard topic for sure.

Pro-life all the way. I see abortion as murder, so it shouldn't be an option. I mean when someone kills a pregnant woman they count it as a double homicide...
