MYTHICAL USA - -
have you seen one in your small town?
Rhett and Link officially confirmed on today's show [GMM #1372 ~ Hilarious Kid's Test Answers]
what was previously only alluded to in the latest edition of Mythical Monthly and bantered about the past several days in various social media posts.
Rhett - "Now, right out of the gate, we're issuing a very important heads-up . . .
so here it is:
HEADS UP!
In small towns all over America, we have put up brand new Mythical billboards!"
Link - "Yeah, that's right! So keep your eyes peeled for our billboards in a small town near you. And watch our socials for clues as to their locations, and then you can share your findings with the hashtag MythicalUSA."
If you spot one in your home town or anywhere along the highway, snap a pic & share it here also for fellow MBs to enjoy. A list of "clues" and corresponding locations will be gathered from your contributions and those posted or shared by the "official" Kommunity Facebook, Twitter and/or Tumblr pages.
From the Mythical Monthly clues (geographic coordinates) below, there are at least 43 out there to locate . . . my guess is maybe one somewhere in every state???
List and map updated daily until all are located:
Reported seen but no pics yet:

Well, it turns out that the billboard in Needles (https://twitter.com/jakkle085/status/1038282683132997632) is in CALIFORNIA...which would make it the second billboard to be identified in the state of California, the other one being Weedpatch. This seems out of line with the Tubefilter article that stated there'd be one in every state.
The interesting thing about Needles is that it's directly next to the border with Arizona, i.e. the Colorado River. It's still technically on the California side of the river, though. And if it were meant to represent Arizona, it would be strange to have it nearly directly on a border line rather than deeper within the state. Can't figure this one out!
For some reason, I don't think R&L need any advertising in the Buies Creek / Lillington area. Just a hunch.
Still, just recognizing this as a (likely) self-funded advertising campaign with a billboard per state, it's nice to just step back and appreciate how far the guys have come from that Buies Creek / Lillington area.

#MythicalUSA Billboard Trivia:
When you go to the map coordinates this is a Lillington mail address but the sign reads Buies Creek so, as you supposed, it is one in the same. Using the Google maps street view you can recognize the carports & storage sheds of MAC Buildings business - - at 255 US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC 27546
- - a.k.a. Paul Green Memorial Hwy on the Lillington side of the city limits
- - a.k.a. E. Cornelius Harnett Blvd. on the Buies Creek side of the city limits
This is most likely the closest billboard physically to the dividing line for two zip code addresses which looks to be only about 100 yards away.
@ Kevin (UniSeal) - - this time around, I think they just tried to pick out small towns with interesting names, but I wouldn't rule out something hidden in either the town names or geo codes, either.
Still curious why the numbering on the Mythical Monthly post where #1-12-26-43 were revealed. Perhaps once all 50 are claimed by MB pic or videos tags #MythicalUSA then R&L will release the complete list so we can see the order these all go in and that could be the final clue to the mystery.
Perhaps you connect the dots on the map and it spells out GMM like a Etch-A-Sketch image.
over the 1/2 way point!
26 small towns in 26 states identified - - only 24 more to go

If it were 2008 instead of 2018, I would almost guarantee there to be some kind of Seven-Keys-esque hidden code to crack in the coordinates or city names. I doubt the guys have time for that now, though. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!
