CHRISTMAS;LIFE

         WOOT. Christmas is almost here and finals for the first semester are finally over. It's been a while, hasn't it? Anyway, to start, finals. I had no idea why I was worrying so badly. All of them were easy, even though they seemed daunting. The hardest one? Probably English. We didn't have to write an essay or take a test on the assigned book. We had to read a 1-2 page excerpt from the short story we wrote, to the entire class. Easy-peasy,lemon-squeezy, right? Not if you are deathly afraid of public speaking. Like me. I was shaking so badly I had to put my paper on the podium just to be able to see the words. Also, I almost lost my voice during the reading, but I forged ahead and read the story, like I was acting it out. I was sooo relieved afterward, though. Everything else? Piece of cake. Delicious red velvet cake, hopefully. (Mmm...my favorite.)

          CHRISTMAS. One of my favorite holidays, tied with Halloween, of course. Family, food, friends, food, decorations, food, and just the merry, magical feel of it, not to mention the food. Our family LOVES food and drink on Christmas; we eat and drink all day and nobody gives a care about whatever diet they're on. The big meal is on Christmas Eve, though, and snacks all Christmas Day. We also have gift traditions. On the 23rd, the Eve Eve, my moms and I open the presents at our house. On the actual Eve, we open one present at my grandparents' house. Then, on the day itself, we open everything else. Weird, huh?

          Do you have any Christmas or other holiday traditions? Post 'em below; I think it's kinda interesting to see what you guys do. Maybe I'll make that a discussion, I dunno. I might even post that part of my story that I read up here for my next post. Don't worry, it's clean. Promise.
