Am I awake Yet (Aaaahh Caffiene) Poetry

AAAAHHH CAFFIENE

During the daylight

There’s a lump in the bed

Groggy , tired , aching

I drag to awaken

Where’s that Caffeine?

Off to the shower

Seems like I stood in the tub

Arms, resting, water beating

Life back into me thinking

Where my coffee?

All right I’m finally dressed

Not to impress just clothes

I normally run around in

Radio’s blaring

I’m still missing that cup-o-joe?

The Tha-thump of the skateboards

Idle conversations going on

And the traffic sounds below

Beneath my bedroom window

The roasted coffee jar empty Shit!

Sadly I’ll switch to herbal tea

Which doesn’t do a damn thing for me!

Healthier doesn’t mean better

No Cola or Mocha Java

The urge for Caffeine groans and grows

Got a “Complimentary Cup” of

Not-Good-but-hot Coffee

Drank it up before I realized

Damn it, It’s Caffeine Free

This Shit only happens to me?

Daylight is hurting my eyes

The noise hurts my head

As I hurry through my day

So I can retreat to bed

The Hours drag on without me

I’m dreaming I go open up the door

Good God What do I see

A counter top full of

Mountain Dew, Cola

And a Giant tin of Roasted Coffee
