A Quick Visit to Buies Creek, NC

On December 18, while driving down to South Carolina to see my family, my husband and I decided at the last minute to take a detour through Rhett and Link's hometown(s) and old stomping grounds.

We didn't have the time to really explore any of the places, so we just stopped by some landmarks. We started in Fuquay-Varina for lunch...but we stopped there just to eat at Zaxby's, to be honest. ;) Then it was a quick swing through Buies Creek and Lillington before we were on the road again.

Here's where it all started, at Buies Creek Elementary School.

The elementary school is directly next to the campus of Campbell University.

The sign for Lillington, as seen in Rhett and Link's series Lillingtonians. It turns out it's right by a railroad track.

And that was pretty much it! We also drove over a tiny portion of the Cape Fear River while going from Buies Creek to Lillington, but there wasn't much to see from the bridge.
