I glance to my left and whatever do I see?
who's wearing parachute pants, oh yeah that would be me.
I'm rockin a flat top and some sweet slitted shades
And I'm rollin on some skates, no wait, they're rollerblades.

My man Dr. Mario was staring at me,
And a guy named Hammer was my favorite MC.
You know it might sound silly, but you better listen Bub,
Fraggle Rock was the BOMB, and so was Breakfast Club.

The music synthesized and I cried for its demise,
Til Rhett and Link brought it back on their social website.
I'd almost given up on my love for Debbie Gibson,
But New Kids on The Block came back and that has got me wishin'
That it might turn around for all the 80s has beens,
Like hypercolor t-shirts and those sweet troll doll pens.

So when I get back into 2009, I'm cleanin out my closet
And its gonna be fine
When I roll up on my moped to work and see my boss,
and I'm rockin my peg jeans, swatch watch and high tops

He'll say you better go back home and change into a suit,
And I'll tell him that I'd rather sit around in jelly shoes.

So this right here's my ode to the greatest of 10 years
I really miss you 80s, but I won't shed no more tears.
