Thanks everyone! @Caroline & Savannah, I've been considering making a sweater evetually. :-) I'll be sure to show it to you guys if I ever actually make it.

@Victoria It's a pretty simple technique I saw a few years back. I switch from a knit stitch to a purl stitch for the pattern. It's easier than changing colors, and since this is going to be a blanket it keeps the opposite side relatively good looking (if only backwards).
