Honestly the best tip I can give is keep practising and don't give up!
Looking at tutorials and references help a bunch, and watching speedpaints on youtube can help too 2 see how others draw and maybe it can give ideas on how you could try things. Don't be afraid to play around and try new things <:
I spent a lot of time drawing from photographs when I was in highschool, and that helped me with drawing people- helped me to better understand structure and helped me improve my shading, so drawing from life super helps too o:

if anything though, the most important thing is to keep going, play around, and have fun~
