Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Last fall my Lit instructor told my class about National Novel Writing Month. She was the regional organizer for it and was explaining how it worked. It's a pretty cool concept. The idea is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. It doesn't actually have to be a complete novel. She had said it often just turns into journal for that person. The important thing is to keep writing. Sometimes the novels that are written during NaNo are published. She had listed off a bunch, but the only one I remember was "Water for Elephants."

If anyone's interested in it check out their site here: http://nanowrimo.org/

I'm considering writing for it, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to write nearly that much.

Good luck with the writing!

I'm doing it, but not on the site because the terms and conditions didn't seem open enough for me.  It's pretty fun, though.

Good news: I've written a fair amount this month.

Bad news: None of it has been for NaNo. (Yay, school papers.)

I've been pretty swamped between work, school, and my craft fairs to do any additional writing. There's always next year though. I'm thinking I might pick a month in the summer and try to write as much as I can then. I really just want to see  how far I can expand my writing ability.
