BIG NUMBERS UPDATE: 

 

My Hair Goes Up was released less than 11 days ago, and since that time the kommunity membership has surged . . . 671 newbies or 61/day

 

That helps to push the average up to 15.2/day since the Kommittee began.  That's 8,356 new beasts with welcome notes posted since Sept-2010.

This is what an active membership drive looks like!!!  Over 100 brand new MB's in the past 24 hours and more coming in by the minute.

DID YOU KNOW? 

Since the WK was formed on 09/14/2010 (464 days ago) an additional 5,932 new MBs have joined the kommunity.  That's an average of 12.8 per day.  Are you doing your best to make them feel welcome?

Hannah - - sorry for the late response to your question about BIRTHDAYS - - hope that you had a really good one!

Unfortunately, the members whose birthdays are listed on the Kommunity home page are limited to the first 10 ALPHABETICALLY each day, so unless your name states with A-E you are probably not going to get noticed, as you found out earlier this month. 

That's exactly how the WELCOME KOMMITTEE got its start, because (a) it was frustrating that a birthday wish could not be given to every member on that special day, and (b) with so many "absentee members" on the roster it soon became a bummer to realize I was posting birthday wishes on 8 of those 10 listed that probably had never revisited the Kommunity after the first week they joined. I figured that at least half might see a WELCOME message in those first few days and would be encouraged to remain active.

All that said, feel free to post birthday wishes if you want to . . . I'm sure you will make someone's day a little happier along the path.

Hey, i was just thinking, should we also wish people happy birthday?  the thought just came to me, since my birthday just passed with no recognition.  should we start doing that?
