Heres where you can tell how much you love a book and want everyone to read it, or tell how much you hate the book and don't want them to read it.  Now remember, be careful  in language of how you…Continue

I love reading, but one of my favorite books is called Chasing Brooklyn. It's written in verse, so it's  a quick read, but it's very powerful.

I love the books Divergent, The Maze Runner, Matched, Percy Jackson, Crewel, and pretty much any dystopian book out there.

Dandilion Wine by Ray Bradbury. I recommend it foreveryone. Especially if you are a fan of Anthony Bordain. Their writing styles are very similar. At least I think so.

I'm not trying to advertise my blog, I just don't have room to say all I would like, and I don't want to be a spammy troll.

On my blog, I have a list of books I've read (so far) this summer (2012 & 2013 can be found here). I update it again every few days (or at least every other week!) Here are some of my reviews:

  1. (2 on my blog) The Handbook for Dragon Slayers by Merrie Haskell - Very Witty and Well-written! Not what I expected at all! Technically, this is a middle-grade fiction novel.
  2. (7 on my blog) The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black - An interesting take on the YA Vampire genre. I could hardly put it down! Riveting action and introspective reasoning. Way better than Twilight - although this is definitely a Young Adult novel - it is pretty gory.
  3. (9 on my blog) The Summer Prince by Alaya Dawn Johnson - A post-apocalyptic world set in Brazil. I really wanted to like this book, and for the first 2/3 I found it really difficult to connect with the characters, their world, and their technology. I actually wanted to put it down and walk away, but, then, something changed and I found myself unable to put it down. I both hated and loved this book, which, in a sense, is a good tribute to the book.
  4. (10 on my blog) Divergent by Veronica Roth -  Quite well-written. Truly riveting and thought-provoking. Reminiscent of The Giver (with just a dash of Hunger Games, a pinch of Logan's Run, and a hint of Ender's Game).  I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. (My blog post also includes my reviews of the rest of The Divergent series.)

I love books and reading.  I do use iBooks, but there is nothing like the feel and heft of a book.

For those who like thrillers and cop dramas, I recommend the "Prey" series by John Sandford. Even though they are kinda cheesy I love the Alex Cross novels by James Patterson.

I also love the classics.

My favorite book series is without a doubt is the Sugar Creek Gang.

But some other books that I love that aren't that popular include:

The Peleg Chronicles

The Adventures of Jecosan Tarres

The Rugendo Rhinos

I would recommend all of these to any one from 8+.  They're all really good books full of adventure and mystery.

I just started "Lord of Chaos" of the Wheel of Time series. It is book 6 of 15.
