@Gumbo123 I go to Melbourne often. I'd already decided I was going down around that time, I just hadn't decided on the exact date. Thought it was as good a time as any.

@ Lillith ~  were you seriously considering the trip down to Glen Iris?

Quite the trip (17+ hours drive time), unless you have your own airplane or some sort of private teleportation device. 

If you and some local MB friends decide to have a meeting up in Brisbane - - even if it needs to be on another day to accomodate your family event - - just let me know and I'll start up another page for your discussion and event planning.

BAH! I just realised that this is the same weekend as my family reunion. My folks will be super mad if I miss it to go to Melbourne. Damn. Probs wont be here.

they will attend the one in either CA or NC (North Carolina). They won't be in Melbourne Aus. Though we could have a great time, take pictures and sent it to them. Update the location though

Well, "highly unlikely" perhaps . . . but never say never!  Nobody really thought they would attend any event last year, but there they were in Glendale, CA at the mall food court. 

And this year the Topping Family are pushing hard to get them to visit up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (reference #LunchWithTheToppingFamily)

CBD is probably easiest to get to. (Depends where most Vic mythical beasts are from) We should do something mythically awesome. Food should be whatever people want.
