My vote is for bowling. Plenty of places, not to expensive and doesn't require a set binder of people should more or less people end up coming

$19 per person (10 person minimum for group booking) for Hard Rock - $100 deposit (non-refundable) required in advance which I can do and be reimbursed on the day.

What about this http://www.hardrock.com.au/default.asp it pretty fun and a good way to get to know people. Its also in a great place right in the cbd making it easy for public transport
