Washington: The Evergreen State

I've lived in SW Washington all my life, and have enjoyed it thoroughly.

I've lived in NW Washington for about 11 years, and the weather is crazy! I think summer has ended a little prematurely for us up here. It's been raining for the past 3 days. =/

I've lived in western Washington all my life (except two years at bible school in Dallas), and I LOVE THIS STATE!

The only sucky thing about living here is it's so far away from North Carolina. :)

Right now I'm sitting at my breakfast table sweating profusely because of the heat today. I did run 6 miles today but that was over an hour ago so I'm pretty sure it's the heat.

I am an implant to this wonderful state. My husband grew up in Morton. He went to Music school in Hollywood where we met. He was home sick and thus brought his bride to the great north west. I wish I grew up here. It's way better then SO CA. The people are way nicer here...

Reasons why Washington wins.

1.Washington = Beauty.
2. We gave you Starbucks, Microsoft, grunge, Jimi Hendrix, Red Robin, Boeing, The burial of Bruce Lee, etc.
3. H2O everywhere.
4. Just Because.

I moved to Washington in late '08 (hey that rhymes!) and reside in the 'Couv (aka Vancouver). Now this Vancouver (America's Vancouver) is just across the Columbia River from Portland, OR. My family still thinks I live in Seattle or Canada no matter how many times I correct them. Sadly, since I live so close to Oregon, I never get news about Washington, so I have no idea what is going on in my own state!

What a saddening lack of responses. It must be the Seattle Freeze. But only people from Washington (like myself) would know what that is, so:

Seattle Freeze--The general lack of openness or greetings experienced by most people in Seattle. Not actually rudeness, it is more a guardedness or chilliness that may be related to the weather.

Also, I have a co-worker from Boston. She thinks that the weather here is far better than Massachusetts, or most of the country. We are not waterlogged or perpetually wet, despite what certain teen vampire movies may teach you.

i live in tacoma and we have the best places to hang out, i go to seattle all the time and there is so much to do there!People of Washington (State, no I haven't met the President!)
