I was thinking about this, too. Not that exact example you gave, but the fact that they've most likely exhibited natural, unintentional versions of all the "combined expressions" they were listing. Even in GMM alone, that's 431 episodes of screen time - more than enough to probably encounter the noted expressions.

Fear and surprise is definitely verified, since I think they both did a pretty good job when Herb was unveiled!

Agreed...I think Rhett's problem was less having an inflexible face, and more having Link as his coach. Some of Rhett's initial expressions were pretty close, but they got worse as Link coached him.

Yeah, Link was pretty bad at giving instructions. I'm not sure he was even looking at the same faces as presented on the screen, haha.

I was just watching the episode of TMS with Key and Peele. One of their photo suggestions was to "smile angrily."
