Happy 100th episode of GMM Season 5!

NAME  THE  FOX:

Doing a bit of googlization research this morning . . .

There are really only 12 "true Fox" species listed under the genus of Canis Vulpes

  1. Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus)
  2. Bengal fox (Vulpes bengalensis)
  3. Blanford's fox (Vulpes cana)
  4. Cape fox (Vulpes chama)
  5. Corsac fox (Vulpes corsac)
  6. Fennec fox (Vulpes zerda)
  7. Kit fox (Vulpes macrotis)
  8. Pale fox (Vulpes pallida)
  9. Rüppell's fox (Vulpes rueppellii)
  10. Red fox (Vulpes vulpes) ~ includes melanistic form commonly known as the Silver Fox
  11. Swift fox (Vulpes velox)
  12. Tibetan sand fox (Vulpes ferrilata)

Based on the color and size/shape of ears, I believe the fox pic hanging on the studio wall to be either a Rüppell's fox or Fennec fox, both of which inhabit the desert regions of North Africa and the Middle East.

Which one do you think he is?

What would you name him if given the chance?

Neither Rüpell's nor Fennec. Google Image search, using the upload feature, brings up a blog post that features the exact image framed on R&L's studio wall. The photo is from a LIFE: Nature Library book about desert species.

It's a Kit fox. The angle of the photo is probably making the ears look larger than they appear in the Wikipedia photo.

Right you are . . . GOOD GOOGLING!!!

Not even going to try and guess the name for guy in today's "Spin the Wheel" outro on the Season 5 poster . . . just going to call him the Seemingly Drunk Dude from Tulsa, OK

He did seem a little off!

Happy 100th season 5!

I wonder how long they're going to let this season last.

I'm guessing we'll see the typical summer GMM break here in a few weeks, maybe even next one.

Also, the alternate title for today's episode should definitely be "Are You Familiar?".

Re-thinking the episode title here . . . shouldn't this one be named 7 Things You Didn't Know Were Named After People since threee (3) of these things were completely FALSE definitions taken straight from Link's imagination? hmmmmm?
