WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Cherish seems a little shy in her first catwalk attempt, but I think she pulled it off, don't you?

Best costume idea in years - - - HAPPY LITTLE TREES!

Boy, I must be really out of the loop. I assume the costumes were jokes on current events, but I understood none of them.

Surely you at least got the Wonder Woman reference! But I'll help you out with the others...

I Can't Even - This is just a popular phrase primarily used online to indicate someone's inability to comprehend or react to something because they're so overwhelmed. (Urban Dictionary)

Jake Paul's Neighbor - Jake Paul is a recently and hugely popular YouTuber who has gained a lot of attention and controversy over the past year. He was a Disney Channel star first, although he recently lost his contract. He gets in the news for dumb "pranks," the fact his house is always swarmed with child and teen fans hanging around outside, his neighbors complaining to police about the noise and crowding he's brought to the neighborhood, and other similarly immature and irresponsible things. The noise-canceling headphones were a specific reference to the fact Jake has recently been sued by someone for hearing damage caused by a video prank in which Jake installed an incredibly loud car horn and honked it at unsuspecting people. His brother Logan Paul is another recently popular YouTuber.

Handmade Tail - This is wordplay based on the Hulu series The Handmaid's Tale, which is based on the dystopian novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. A white bonnet and red cloak are signature costumes of the series.

Jade's costume - I'm honestly not 100% sure if Jade's costume is a reference to anything, other than the fact she looks like a bee and has gloved hands clasped in prayer ("praise be[e]," Linkita exclaims). But Jade's stage name "Anthony Weinerdog" and the cell phone remark Linkita makes are references to disgraced politician Anthony Weiner.

Old Tailor (Taylor) - "Look What You Made Me Do" is the title of the first single from Taylor Swift's newest upcoming album. The lyric referenced by the costume is: "I'm sorry, but the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh -- because she's dead."

Does that put you back in the loop now? ;)

Ah, yes. I forgot about the Wonder Woman one after the deluge of costumes that flew over my head. Thanks for taking the time to clarify! I'll be slightly more trendy now.
