So I had to replace my strings recently (I mean I just changed them two days ago). I've only had to replace them like twice though, so I don't really know much about the string world. I had something relatively not so good (probably red label or something) at first, but then I got Helicores. After that I started into the depths of the crazy expensive ones. (Well I think they are anyway) Two years ago I had larsens tops and Evah Pirazzis (not positive if I've spelled that right...) for the bottoms. I just replaced them with all Evah Pirazzis.  I'm very satisfied so far! It's nice when you get new strings, and they just...respond! And they're loud and ringy! Unlike the old strings. Haha but Evah Pirazzis are SUUUPER brassy before they set in, so I feel like I'm playing a brass instrument...but in string form...idk, anyone who's played those might understand me...Anyway. Anyone out there who's got/is planning on getting/has yet to get new strings? And idk good/bad experiences with strings?

Hi!  I'm a violin player (for about nine years) and I don't have much experience with buying strings, but I thought you'd like to know that some string making companies will actually sent reps to visit your orchestra.  (I think someone from D'addario Strings - the company that makes Helicores - visited my orchestra.)  Some companies will even let you take a tour of their factory!  It's a great place to start learning about strings and a lot of fun too!  :D

Ooohhhh that sounds really cool!
